Hey Y'all, thanks for stopping by!
Judge Jennifer Saunders has been a pioneer for the office of Justice of the Peace and a trusted voice for all of us here in Precinct #4. We wish her well in her retirement and owe her a debt of gratitude for her many years of faithful service. She will truly be missed.
After much thought and prayer, I, Ashley Evans, announce my candidacy for Comal County Justice of the Peace Precinct #4. I am a sixth-generation Texan, raised in Brenham, home of Bluebell Ice Cream. Born in a Public Servant’s household, my father, a retired Houston Firefighter, showed me what it meant to dedicate your life to the service of others. My mom, a homemaker, ensured my sister and I were well taken care of. In 2009, my husband, Joey, and I married and have been blessed with two wonderful children. We are members of Oakwood Church in New Braunfels. Our kids keep us busy with Awana Club at Oakwood, New Braunfels Little League, New Braunfels Youth Soccer League, and Surge Aquatics at Das Rec.
I began my working career as "The Country Girl” for Bluebell Creameries. At 18 years old, I started my life of service, working for the Washington County District Attorney’s Office and the Washington County District Clerk’s Office. In 2010, Joey and I moved to New Braunfels, where his public service career continued, and I began working for Jennifer Tharp at the Comal County Criminal District Attorney’s Office.
I currently work as a Court Administrator for Judge Charles Stephens in Comal County Court at Law #2. Public service has been my life for nearly 16 years. Having worked in various county government offices over the past 16 years has given me the opportunity to gain the experience needed for the position of Justice of the Peace.
I believe that in any elected position, the titleholder works for the people she represents. She should be accountable and accessible to her community. I have strong Christian conservative values and am known as someone who makes things happen and gets the job done. I have never met a stranger, and no matter the circumstance, I treat people with respect and dignity. If elected to Justice of the Peace, this is what the people of Precinct #4 can expect. Judge Saunders has set a high bar, and I am hopeful to continue her legacy in our community.
I hope you will vote for me, Ashley Evans, for Comal County Justice of the Peace, Precinct #4.
